Hey, I'm Tristan Camejo.
I'm a 19 year old dropout.
All I've ever done is create.
Video. Music. Software. Business.
Entrepreneurship
It started with DJing and producing tech house through school. I was on the decks for Vex's first show myself.
What began as throwing one event grew into a full events business: we produce our own live shows and manage an artist roster, run a booking agency for DJs and talent, operate a label, and put together complete event packages for other clients end to end: venue, ticketing, DJ, catering, security, photo booth, the lot.
I rarely DJ these days. I ended up focused on the business side of it instead, but the technical mixing and production knowledge from those years is still there, and people who've heard me play tell me I should do it more.
Live shows & an artist roster · A booking agency for DJs and talent · A record label · End-to-end event production
The ads, the posters, the reels, the multicam, the video edits, this kind of website: I never outsourced any of it.
I'm starting a production company, a creative studio built to streamline the services above (photography, videography, editing, mixing and mastering) and bring other creatives on board.
Get in touchThe story
Documented as it happened, on whatever camera was closest.

Designing the lineup for the first ever event, then out with Kuman putting posters up around the city ourselves.
The first Vex event: an under-18s Halloween party that barely sold a ticket. The promo video was rough, but we ran it anyway.
Our first DJ hire client. Testing the setup in my frontyard before the gig, then loading it all into the car for real.
First time on proper decks, at Bodega Studios in Sydney. Around the same time a mate drew the first Vex logo in Snapchat and I traced it in Illustrator.

The Christmas party sold out its early bird release, then the event fell apart and got cancelled anyway. Second event, second lesson.
The original Vex office. Not much, but it made the whole thing feel real.

First time getting proper press shots taken. A small thing that felt like a big deal at the time.
First flight I'd ever taken, first time in Melbourne. Standing in that Airbnb, I knew this was what I wanted to do with my life.
The video that used the line that ended up everywhere: hosting the biggest under-18 event in the city. It went viral across Instagram and TikTok.
The Sydney videos travelled further than we did. People begged for a Melbourne show, so we flew down, shot content, and the first Melbourne video went viral too.

Whiteout Sydney sold out a month before doors.

Walking past a billboard for our show in my local town, with my own name on the lineup.
Whiteout Sydney, the night itself. 500 people in the room.
Ran it back in Melbourne the following week. From an empty Halloween party to this in nine months.

Videography · Multicam · Editing
Live show coverage, brand content, and behind-the-scenes, cut for social and screen. Proficient editor across every format, from short-form to full YouTube videos.
I edited every reel on the Vex account and shot most of it too.
Event · Portrait · Press
Event, portrait, and press photography: shot to be used, not just looked at.
Mixing · Mastering · Production · DJing
Years engineering rap records and producing tech house as a DJ. Rap vocal or club record, it's the same process: taking a track from rough recording to a release-ready master.
Hip-hop tracks, produced, mixed, and mastered by me.
Web & app development · Internal tooling
This site is built with Next.js, Prisma, and Stripe. I dropped out of school the first time to chase a software startup, long before Vex existed, and I still build every internal tool Vex runs on.
Paid ads · Content strategy · Promoter systems · Event production
Running Vex is as much a business as a creative practice. Paid ad campaigns tied directly to ticket sales, a tiered promoter and street team incentive structure, and the event production machinery behind every show.
